SPECIFICATIONS: Nagios Supervision Engineer
- Occupancy rate: 100%.
- Duration: indefinite, but maximum 5 years
- Desired start date: May 1, 2024
YOUR MISSIONS :
- Initially, get to know what already exists;
- Participate in the migration of existing probes to the new platform;
- Create monitoring probe scripts ;
- Support deployment ;
- Provide support for the proper execution of application probes;
- Training and change management;
- Report on progress and risks in your area.
QUALIFICATIONS :

TRAININGS :
- Advanced diploma in computer science (ES) or federal diploma or HES diploma
SKILLS :
Core competencies
- Web application and middleware monitoring ;
- Advanced use of Nagios ;
- Significant experience in an IT production environment ;
- Create, modify and optimize scripts (e.g. Bash, Shell, Python, Jmeter, Json) to automate supervision tasks.
Additional skills
- Demonstrated experience of the following operating tools: BMC ControlM, Opentext Operations Bridge, SPLUNK , Dynatrace, BMC ITSM ;
- Advanced use of Nagios in its Core version ;
- Knowledge of observability and tracing tools (Elastic Suite, BMC Hypervisor, Prometheus, Grafana, opentelemetry…) ;
- Understanding of the ITIL framework, particularly the service operation phase;
- Ability to analyze monitoring results and make recommendations for improvement;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
