RESEARCH PROFILE: Senior Operations Designer

  • Type of contract: service rental contract.
  • Occupancy rate: 100%.
  • Duration: indefinite, but no more than 5 years.
  • Start date: August 1, 2023.

YOUR MISSIONS :

As an operational designer, you will be responsible for :

  • Advise and assist management and project managers on the operational aspects of new IT solutions.
  • Act as a consultant during the initialization phase to develop the application’s operating concepts.
  • Decline the exploitability requirements, implement them in the ALM tool, cost their implementation, run the associated tests and provide the application’s exploitability report.
  • Intervene at the end of the project realization phase, and in particular at the pre-production point, to ensure the transition to the deployment phase, and set up an early-life support system and backlog management for the new system adapted to the service level and project context.
  • Support the “IT Operations” sector from the start of the transition and jointly validate the milestone for “IT Operations” to take over responsibility for day-to-day operations.
  • Coordinate the following engineering actions required for the integration, development, acceptance and production of applications, with the aim of ensuring optimum operability and meeting the expected level of service. If necessary, take charge of them.
  • Define and complete the solution’s technical architecture within the iServer enterprise architecture repository, based on Archimate modeling and including operating assets (probes, batch, tests, deployment industrialization).
  • Install, configure and parameterize applications in different environments.
  • Implement or have implemented the operating assets (probes, batches, tests, deployment industrialization) defined in the previous phases.
  • Write/complete the application’s operating documentation and submit it to the relevant stakeholders for validation.
  • Technical acceptance of the application, including verification of operability requirements.
  • Contribute to the deliverables expected by the Point PEPSIC Pre-production.

TRAININGS :

HES diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer science or EPF engineering diploma or federal diploma.

SKILLS :

Compulsory powers :

  • Good knowledge of IT production.
  • Understanding of technical and application architectures.
  • Ability to design the operation of a complex system.
  • Ability to coordinate engineers on complex issues.
  • Experience in leading a group of architects in taking initiatives and implementing a new solution.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL v4 processes and best practices (validated by ITIL V4 certification) and more specifically in the Service Transition field.
  • Good command of Windows Server (2016, 2019 and 2022), and Linux/Unix environments.
  • Experience of a scheduling tool (production plan design, implementation of scheduling chains, execution monitoring), BMC/Control-M.
  • Experience of an application monitoring tool: Nagios, HP/BSM, Splunk, Jmeter.
  • Experience of an integration test automation tool: Robot Framework.
  • Good command of at least two of the following middlewares: Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, IIS.
  • Good command of shell scripting (korn shell), Powershell.
  • Application deployment automation skills: yaml, Ansible.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps principles and associated deployment tools: Git, Ansible, GoCD.
  • Good project management and coordination skills.

Additional skills :

  • Experience in designing and operating software packages, ETLs, software hosting platforms, cross-functional components and Cloud services such as IAAS and PAAS: vRealize.
  • Skills in modeling architectures using the Archimate method, including the use of the iServer solution.
  • Experience in designing operations on the principles and tools associated with containerization: Docker, Helm, OpenShift, Terraform, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, Spinnaker, Kaniko, Tekton.
  • Experience in monitoring containerized solutions using Prometheus and Grafana tools.
  • Competence in HP/Performance Center and Compuware/Dynatrace load testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Competence in technical solutions, including use of the Python language, Django framework and Swagger API.
  • Proficiency with an integration test automation tool: Robot Framework.
